so, i went and shaved my goatee off today.
what's it look like? well.. kinda like this, i guess.
i'd had the goatee for 9 years or so. i grew it in college, and it was a total blessing. i no longer had to shave the difficult parts of my face, and it made me look a lot thinner (i was 40 pounds heavier back then). it also had the added bonus of giving me some leeway with the number of days i could wait before shaving. i grow facial hair fast.. my 5:00 shadow usually appears by 10:00am. with this new goatee, i was able to hold off a couple of days before it started looking bad. i really, really loved having it.
so.. why did i shave it off? basically, just to see what i looked like. i hadn't seen my face in 7 years, and i was kind of curious. now that my curiosity is sated i'll start growing it back - which should only take 20 minutes. unlike the long hair, which does have to go soon (can you say "skullet"?), a goatee will probably look ok on me forever. until i find a more convenient way to keep my facial hair, i think i'm going to stick with it.
i highly doubt jenny will let this go without at least one digital picture, so i'll probably have that available in the next few days if anyone is interested.
